An Introductory workshop by Margarita Makoutonina
This interactive workshop is aimed at clinicians interested in working with, or already providing their services to, people with Parkinson’s Disease. It aims to enable the attendees to develop and improve all relevant skills and knowledge for an OT to function within a multidisciplinary team.

This workshop will allow participants to :
learn how to enhance the use of your OT skills
see how your new learnt skills can have immediate impact on your clients and family
learn how you can become part of a trans-disciplinary team
understand the tip of iceberg concept of Parkinson’s disease
discover the marvellous Basal Ganglia and its diverse automatic functions
see how assessment tools can help you design and frame management on an individual basis

The program will consist of lecture presentations, facilitated workshop activities, group discussion and video case examples.
