(February) EOIs for Casual Vacancies on the Board - 1 WEEK EXTENSION

As members would recall we sought EOI’s for casual vacancies on the OTA Board. We were pleased to receive 4 EOI’s.

As there are 2 casual vacancies available we are therefore asking members to elect 2 from this pool of candidates.


1. Proven Commitment to the profession of Occupational Therapy in Australia including five years professional experience as an OT and evidence of a history of membership of Occupational Therapy Australia inclusive of being a current member at the time of nomination. (max. 150 words)

2. Possession of personal attributes required of Board Directors:

  • Communication skills including the ability to respect alternative viewpoints and express your own ideas
  • Leadership skills in the following: governance of not-for-profit organisations, strategy, risk management, financial management, advocacy, policy and/or education
  • Networking capacity to advance the prospects of our profession. (max. 200 words)

3. Understanding of Occupational Therapy Australia's values and demonstrated ability to apply these values in their work as an occupational therapist. (max. 150 words)

4. Knowledge and understanding of the duties and obligations of a Director and governance of not-for-profit organisations. )max. 150 words)
