ReturntoWorkSA Fee Consultation

Occupational Therapy Australia provide written feedback on 10 March 2022 to ReturntoWorkSA (RTWSA) on the annual review and proposed changes to Occupational Therapy fees.

OTA members were advised on 1 February 2022 of the consultation paper outlining the proposed changes to Occupational Therapy fees for FY2022-23. SA members provided feedback and responses to the OTA SA Divisional Manager, which were collated and presented to RTWSA.

While OTA is supportive of the proposed 3.8% increase, there were further observations and feedback provided regarding the fee schedule and policy. These including the addition of occupational therapy fee schedule for the provision of treatment for psychological injuries and the expansion of the telehealth services to all workers and not just those who have been impacted by COVID-19. OTA also strongly urged RTWSA to raise the payable fee for ‘Telehealth Subsequent Consultations’ to be equal to the face-to-face ‘Subsequent Consultations’ fee and in-line with the initial ‘Telehealth Consultation’ Fee.
