OTA supports new framework planning’s goals of a fairer, more consistent and sustainable NDIS. However, the draft rules do not directly assess or transparently cost therapeutic need. Our 28 recommendations would make therapy need visible, measurable and protected, improving participant outcomes, reducing long-term support costs, easing workforce pressure and giving the NDIA better data on which supports are effective.
