The aim of this Interest Group is to:
- To provide professional support to OT Driver assessors in QLD
- To provide a safe place to debrief, troubleshoot and brainstorm regarding issues that have arisen in practice for members
- To provide opportunity for professional development (through discussion, sharing experiences, journal club) regarding driving and vehicle modification

Louise Bassingthwaighte
Presenter
Louise is a driver trained OT and PhD candidate, researching return to driving after TBI. She recently won “best paper” for this work, at the OT Australia National Conference. Louise has extensive experience working in private practice and public health, and is currently a Lecturer at Griffith Uni OT program. She is committed to supporting research students and is passionate about inspiring her future peers.

Frankie Britt
Presenter
Frankie Britt is the Business Relationships Manager at Total Ability, with extensive experience in building partnerships across the disability driving sector. Working closely with occupational therapists, specialised driving instructors, and rehabilitation providers, Frankie is focused on strengthening relationships and supporting best practice in adaptive driving. Her work includes coordinating Drive Days and training events, supporting the rollout of Joysteer high-level driving systems, and helping OTs and instructors navigate the assessment process with confidence. Frankie’s commitment to collaboration and education ensures professionals are well equipped to deliver safe, innovative, and empowering driving solutions for their clients.

Paul Crake
Presenter
Paul Crake is experienced in adaptive driving solutions and vehicle modification, being the owner of Total Ability. With extensive experience in high-level driver assessments and technical installations, Paul has become a trusted resource for occupational therapists, driving instructors, and rehabilitation specialists across Australia. His work includes coordinating complex driving assessments, working with driving instructors nationwide and working with products from Fadiel, Lodgesons and more recently Joysteer. Paul’s commitment to innovation and accessibility is reflected in his hands-on approach, whether it's conducting assessments in regional areas, to engaging with the Driving Instruction Working Group to shape policy and practice.
