OTA are working to advocate for the inclusion of the OTDA perspective in the development of new resources and in the review of existing documents and we are keen to ensure that OTDAs on the ground are aware of what is happening and can contribute. 

Join our Members’ Forum where you will hear from OTA on work being undertaken across the sector including: 

• Work being undertaken to review the Australian Competency Standards for Occupational Therapy Driver Assessors (2018) 

• Updates to key practice resources like OTA's Jurisdictional Differences Table 

• Plans to develop National Guidelines for Driver Trained OTs and the review of the Fitness to Driver guidelines 

• OTA’s collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and review resources that highlight and support the work of driver trained OTs.

Michelle Oliver - Chief Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Australia.

PRESENTERS:

Christina Wyatt 

Christina has been an occupational therapist for over 20 years with clinical experience in Australia and the UK focussing on adult rehabilitation, disability, and aged care. With a Master of Public Health, Christina currently works as Professional Practice Advisor at Occupational Therapy Australia with a dedicated focus on aged care. She actively engages with government and stakeholders, advocating for enhanced occupational therapy involvement in aged care. Supporting her professional peers in the sector, Christina provides valuable clinical and professional advice as part of the Professional Practice team within Occupational Therapy Australia.

Caroline Reljich 

Caroline is a Professional Practice Advisor for Occupational Therapy Australia who brings over 20 years' experience working across a range of practice areas including community health, disability and complex AT and home modification prescription.  Caroline is also a qualified OT Driver Assessor who is dedicated to this unique and constantly evolving area of OT practice.  Ongoing provision of clinical supervision alongside her work at OTA help to contribute to the profession in meaningful ways.
