Emilie Kreimer
Presenter
Emilie Kreimer is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy student at the University of Cincinnati (USA) with a research focus on women’s health and occupational disruption. She has conducted research on eHealth interventions for cancer-related fatigue and completed Level II fieldwork experiences in hand therapy and pediatrics. Emilie’s doctoral capstone, A Portrait of Dysmenorrhea & Pelvic Floor Therapy, builds on her literature review of international research exploring the relationship between menstrual pain and occupational disruption. Her ongoing U.S.-based study examines how dysmenorrhea affects daily participation and investigates the potential role of pelvic floor therapy in supporting function and well-being.

Hollie Swanton
Presenter
Hollie Swanton is an experienced occupational therapist in private practice, based in Cairns, working in the women’s health, maternal health and parenting space. She is mental health endorsed, a yoga teacher and Circle of Security facilitator. She also has a special interest in integrated approaches to support the confluence of pelvic and mental health. She is passionate about occupational therapists utilising broader scope for supporting women’s health needs within occupational therapy interventions.

Dr Tracey Parnell
Presenter
Tracey Parnell is a registered occupational therapist, with over three decades of experience in regional and rural clinical practice, allied health education, and research. She works at Charles Sturt University and is based at the Albury campus. Her career has been defined by a commitment to regional, rural and remote health equity, underpinned by her own lived experience and professional engagement in these settings. Tracey’s research is informed by occupational and humanistic perspectives and draws on qualitative methodologies, co-design principles and authentic engagement with community members and service providers. Much of her research foregrounds lived and living experiences to better understand and enhance health and wellbeing, promote occupational participation, address issues of injustice, and enhance health equity.

Dr Thuy Murray
Presenter
Dr Thuy (“Twee”) Tran is an occupational therapist, lecturer, and hand therapy clinician based in Perth, Western Australia. Thuy has 15 years of clinical experience and is an active early career researcher with interests spanning occupation-based hand therapy, women’s health, and community health. In particular, she is passionate about preventing common hand and upper limb injuries among women in the perinatal phase.. At Edith Cowan University, Thuy teaches hand therapy and evidence-informed practice, supervises research students, and continues her own research into occupation-based hand therapy and holistic approaches to upper limb conditions. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at professional development events, and serves on national and university research committees.

Dr Belinda McClean
Presenter
Dr Belinda McLean is a Senior Lecturer in the Occupational Therapy program at Edith Cowan University and adjunct researcher with the Curtin School of Allied Health in Perth, Western Australia. Belinda completed her PhD in paediatric neurorehabilitation before becoming a mother to twins - an experience that sparked her passion for advancing the evidence base for occupational therapists working in clinical practice to support new parents and women navigating matrescence. Her research has contributed to the growing evidence base through peer-reviewed publications exploring maternal functioning assessment tools and the emotional experiences of new parents. She has established collaborative partnerships with clinical services, supervised multiple research projects investigating perinatal mental health and developed evidence-based workshop programs for new parents. Belinda is committed to knowledge translation, regularly presenting at professional conferences and providing training to clinicians on occupational therapy’s role in supporting families during the transition to parenthood.

Sorcha Odgers
Presenter
Sorcha is a PhD candidate at Monash University, researching occupational therapy support following birth trauma. She is a registered occupational therapist with clinical experience in New Zealand, working in adult mental health, Indigenous mental health and perinatal mental health. Sorcha completed a Master's by research in New Zealand, researching mothering occupations that support maternal confidence.
