This group aims to:
- Provide a forum to disuss/share knowledge of innocative and new assistive technologies/equipment
- Facilitate nerworking and sharing of resources
- Provide and promote ongoing professional development to encourage up to date knowledge of the latest research and information on best practice guidelines
- Discuss advice for clinical justification for funding of products

Denise Luscombe
Presenter
Denise is a paediatric physiotherapist who has worked in the field of paediatrics, disability and early childhood Intervention (ECI) for over 35 years. Denise is a founding member and current chair of PRECI. Denise was the PRECI Project lead for the DSS-commissioned project developing the 2025 National Best Practice Framework for Early Childhood Intervention. In the early 2000’s, Denise led a project changing the WA Disability Services Commission ECI model to a key worker (Team around the Child) model. This included the introduction of family-centred practice, routines-based interviewing and other key best practices. Denise has co-authored a chapter Working with families as part of early childhood intervention services: Family-centred practice in an individualised funding landscape in ‘Early Childhood Intervention – working with families of young children with special needs’ (2017) Editors: Carl Dunst and Hanan Sukkar, co-authored an international guide: ‘Are you worried about your child?’ to support families with complex needs with Peter Limbrick (UK) (2018), and co-authored the Best Practice in ECI Report (2018). To support families with their journey in ECI, Denise was involved in a video series titled ‘Your child, your family and early childhood intervention: Family Perspectives (https://youtu.be/DbuV4isNLDI) translated into 5 different languages, and guides supporting understanding of the national guidelines titled ‘Working Together, therapy in the early years’, (2019). Denise has provided support and training on evidence-informed ECI both within Australia and overseas including St Petersburg, UK, Prague, Ukraine and Lisbon, and continues to provide support and training to interstate and overseas ECI teams, organisations, professionals and families on implementation of best practice in ECI and supported lying.
