Influenza Vaccine Requirements for RACFs
State and territory governments have implemented influenza vaccine requirements for staff, volunteers and visitors to Residential Care Facilities (aged and disability). As an occupational therapist it is your responsibility to makes sure you meet these requirements as summarised below:

AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY |
Staff and visitors are strongly encouraged to have a yearly influenza vaccine.

NEW SOUTH WALES |
From 1 June 2021 to 30 September 2021, all staff, volunteers and visitors (aged over 6 months) must have been vaccinated against influenza. Some exceptions apply.

NORTHERN TERRITORY |
Anyone entering a RACF must have an up to date influenza vaccination, except in exceptional circumstances.

|
QUEENSLAND |
From 30 May 2021, all staff, volunteers and visitors must have been vaccinated against influenza. Some exceptions apply.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA |
From 1 June 2021, all staff, volunteers and visitors must have current influenza vaccination. Some exceptions apply.

|
TASMANIA |
Anyone spending any time in a RACF, this includes staff and visitors, are strongly encouraged to have an influenza vaccination.

|
VICTORIA |
Anyone working in or visiting a RACF are strongly encouraged to have been vaccinated against influenza.
