Have your say: QCAT Act Review

The Queensland Government is reviewing the reviewing the Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2009 (QCAT Act). The review is looking at ways to alleviate pressure currently faced by QCAT, including any systemic, operational, or legislative issues which are impacting QCAT’s ability to perform its statutory functions in an accessible, economical, and timely manner.

OTA has been invited to provide a submission to the Review, and we are seeking input from members to share their (de-identified) experiences of QCAT to help inform our submission. There is also the opportunity to provide your feedback directly to the Review process via QCAT’s website, to help the Review understand what works well and what needs improvement.

Submissions are due 31 January 2026.
